A grand arrival at Hotel Lancelot

Our journey to Rome began smoothly. Upon arrival at the airport, we were warmly greeted by a shuttle van from Hotel Lancelot, ready to whisk us away to our home for the first night. Our room was absolutely amazing, offering a truly spectacular terrace view that overlooked the magnificent Colosseum. It was the perfect start to our Italian holiday.

Exploring the grandeur of St. Peter's

With our bags settled, we wasted no time diving into the heart of Rome. Our first major stop was the awe-inspiring St. Peter's Basilica. The sheer scale and intricate artistry of this iconic landmark are truly something to behold. Every corner reveals centuries of history and devotion, setting the tone for the incredible experiences that lay ahead.

The challenging ascent of the dome

Our visit culminated in the exhilarating climb to the very top of St. Peter's Dome. Be warned: it's a significant ascent with a ton of stairs! As you near the top, the passageway becomes increasingly narrow, hugging the curving arch of the dome itself. The final stretch requires holding onto ropes or railings, adding to the adventurous spirit of the climb. The panoramic views from the summit, however, make every step worth it.
