Welcome to Day 1 of our Adventures in Rome! From exploring the historic depths of the Colosseum before the tour officially began, to a delightful dinner in the vibrant Piazza Navona, our first day set the perfect tone. Thanks to an early arrival, we were completely free of jet lag, ready to embrace every new adventure and connect with our wonderful group.
Unveiling ancient wonders: The colosseum's hidden depths
Before the full tour group arrived, we embarked on an exclusive journey beneath the iconic Colosseum. Exploring the underground passages and chambers offered a breathtaking perspective on ancient Roman history, a unique start to our adventure that truly brought the gladiatorial past to life. It was an extraordinary moment to ourselves before meeting our fellow travelers.
Piazza Navona's charm & new friendships
As evening fell, our group converged for a memorable dinner in the enchanting Piazza Navona. The atmosphere was electric, surrounded by stunning Baroque fountains and bustling Roman life. We discovered our group was wonderfully diverse, and everyone was incredibly helpful and courteous, making for fantastic conversations and a truly enjoyable first shared meal together. The meals throughout the day were absolutely delicious!
Seamless start: Embracing rome from the first moment
One of the best decisions we made was arriving two days prior to the official tour. This allowed us to completely overcome any jet lag, ensuring we were fresh, energetic, and fully present to savor every single moment from the get-go. There was no struggle, just pure enjoyment as we embraced each new adventure, from ancient ruins to delightful cuisine, right from Day 1.
