Rome awakens: a 5 am odyssey

Pre-tour Day 2. We set our alarms for 5:00 am, eager to experience Rome's iconic landmarks before the crowds. Our pre-dawn walk to the Trevi Fountain was a journey through history, starting with the incredible sight of the Colosseum bathed in the dark, truly glorious in its stillness.

Ancient whispers and wishing wells

As we continued our early morning trek, we passed the towering Trajan Column and the majestic statue of Caesar, feeling the weight of millennia. Arriving at the Trevi Fountain, the absence of crowds was a revelation. There were not many people at the Trevi Fountain so we threw our coins and took a drink at the ‘lovers” fountain tucked away on the right-hand side of fountain.
